eCricket Guide

eCricket platforms and availability

Quick answer

eCricket is mobile, with a stated 2026 release plan. Every phase — closed beta from 27 October, the Beta phase, then the India launch — runs on that platform. A device split between Android and iOS has not been published.

eCricket is a mobile game. The studio's release plan, published with its April 2026 funding round, is "a AAA cricket game from India with global ambitions, slated for release in 2026 on mobile", and the whole roll-out — closed beta, Beta, India launch — is scheduled in that order.

What the studio has not published is a device split — whether each phase opens on both Android and iOS at once, and what the minimum hardware is. That is worth knowing before you plan around it, and it is the kind of detail that usually arrives with the phase announcement rather than months ahead.

Why "mobile" is the whole strategy, not a caveat

Unreal Engine 5.5 with broadcast-quality presentation is a heavy target for a phone, and the studio is not treating mobile as a downgrade: the feature list (next-gen graphics, AI commentary, broadcast presentation, advanced physics) is what it says it is shipping on mobile. Two practical consequences:

  1. The beta is a performance test as much as a gameplay test. Thermal throttling and battery drain on a cricket match are exactly the things a short, staggered beta surfaces.
  2. India-first is a device-first decision. A mobile launch in India is a launch into the largest affordable-handset market in the world, which is why the studio names the market in the phase title rather than treating it as a region.

What to do if you do not have a pass

The only route the studio offers is the waitlist on the official site, which is also how it says it will contact people for later phases. Everything else — "beta key" sellers, mirror APKs, modded builds — is unaffiliated, and installing a modded build of a live-service game is a good way to lose the account you were hoping to carry into Phase 2.

What we will add when it is published

  • Minimum and recommended device specifications.
  • The iOS and Android release order, if they differ.
  • Whether progress is transferable between devices on the same account.

Those three are the questions this page exists to answer, and none of them has an official answer yet. Read the roadmap for the phase order, or the closed beta calendar for the dates.
