eCricket Guide

eCricket release date and roadmap

Quick answer

eCricket is a 2026 mobile release. Phase 1 is the closed beta from 27 October 2026, Phase 2 is eCricket Beta with more players and more matches, and Phase 3 is eCricket India Launch, when the game opens to everyone in India.

eCricket does not have a single release date — it has a three-phase roll-out, and the studio publishes each phase as it opens. Phase 1, the closed beta, starts 27 October 2026. Phase 2 is "eCricket Beta" with more players and more matches. Phase 3 is "eCricket India Launch", when the game becomes downloadable for everyone in India. The studio's own release plan, stated in its April 2026 funding announcement, is a 2026 release on mobile.

The three phases, in the studio's order

PhaseNameWhat it isStatus
1eCricket Closed BetaPass holders only, three eight-day batches from 27 October to 21 November 2026Dated, starts 27 October 2026
2eCricket Beta"More players, more matches, a bigger test"; closed-beta players get automatic accessOpens after the batch run
3eCricket India Launch"eCricket comes to India for everyone to download and play"Follows Phase 2

This sequencing is the single most useful thing to understand about the launch: India first, in waves, gated by testing rather than by a marketing calendar. Each phase widens the audience — pass holders, then registered players, then the open Indian market.

Why the phases are gated

A cricket game lives or dies on two things that cannot be tested in a studio: netcode under load and whether the batting feels right to people who actually play cricket. The studio says the closed beta exists to find out "what feels good and what needs work", and that Phase 2 will be "a bigger test" run on the feedback from Phase 1. That is why the batches are eight days rather than four weeks continuous — the gaps are the fix windows.

What "2026 on mobile" means

The funding announcement described eCricket as "a AAA cricket game from India with global ambitions, slated for release in 2026 on mobile". Two consequences:

  1. Mobile is the platform, not a port. The feature list — Unreal Engine 5.5, AI commentary, broadcast presentation — is what the studio says it is shipping on phones.
  2. India is the first market. The launch phase is named for India specifically, and the closed-beta rewards unlock "during eCricket India launch", so the reward schedule is tied to that milestone rather than to a worldwide date.

How to track it without guessing

  • The official Game Access page is where LightFury publishes phase dates and batch windows; it is the only page this site treats as authoritative for the schedule.
  • The waitlist on the official site is the one channel that tells you when general access opens.
  • Anyone publishing a firm launch date beyond the 27 October beta start is guessing. There is no published Phase 2 or Phase 3 date.
